Irondequoit Police have announced an arrest in connection to the fire that killed four people last month.

According to police, Julio Cesar Pimentel Soriano, 34, originally from the Dominican Republic, was arrested on Saturday.

He is charged with four counts of murder in the second degree, and police say that they are still looking for others involved.

Police say multiple fires at 329 Knapp Avenue on Aug. 31 killed Fraime Ubaldo, 30, Marangely Moreno-Santiago, 26, Evangeline Ubaldo-Moreno, 4, and Sebastian Ubaldo-Moreno, 2.

"I don't think this was something random that happened," said Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Perry Duckles. "I can tell you that I do think that there is a motive, though what that motive is, we're still looking into it."

Police say that Soriano is wanted for murder in his home country and traveled to the U.S. illegally through Puerto Rico with a fake New York ID.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is assisting Irondequoit Police as needed.
